Clinical Case

This case study is about a one-year-old Maltese dog named Milky, who was diagnosed with Idiopathic Head Tremor Syndrome. This neurological condition was characterized by frequent involuntary tremors, which were particularly noticeable during stressful situations and had also begun to occur even while the dog was at rest. A prior attempt to treat the condition with prednisone had proven ineffective, prompting a search for a more successful therapeutic option.

A comprehensive new treatment plan was implemented that focused on multiple aspects of the dog’s health. The plan included a multivitamin complex, folic acid, iron sulfate, and other supplements, along with efforts to minimize stress through socialization. However, the cornerstone of the therapy was MLS Laser Therapy using an M-VET device. A specific therapeutic protocol was applied to key areas, including the temporal, cervical, thoracic, and lumbosacral spine regions. The treatment proved to be remarkably effective. Milky showed a progressive improvement as early as the second session, allowing the cortisone therapy to be completely suspended. After just six sessions, only minimal tremors remained, and following a total of twelve sessions, Milky experienced a complete and permanent resolution of all her symptoms.
